No these will not need to be removed once installed,
To Clean the Brush, Run the brush with water for a minute or so after cleaning the panels
to rinse the brush at the end of the job.

This end cap is for the solar brush. You can use it to keep the water in the body of the brush or take it off so the water runs out the side of the brush.
It doesn't matter if they are on or off. The solar brush was originally designed with them off. but by special request, we started offering the end cap to users who wanted more water to come out the bristles. The main difference is where the weight is carried. With caps on, the brush is heavier.
