This is one of the products designed to help remove various acid etching on glass.
it is designed to remove Hydrofluoric acid staining that has interacted with the tin side of heat treated glass.
this type of acid staining is very predictable.
the stain caused by CC550 from WINSOL could very well be a tin side etch haze.
or possibly it could be a stronger acid burn caused by the acid solution drying on the glass as you mentioned, this can be a more difficult spaced stain to remove.
any restoration attempt on an acid stain will need the assistance of a powered polisher and some time on the glass. Keep the polishing pad moist and moving around on the glass to avoid fruit in heat buildup which will. Implicate the restoration.
The stronger staining is typically removable with this product, or cerium oxide though occasionally a bad stain needs a stronger system like the scratch remover and polishing system from Scratch Renu.
