While any size tank could be used with this pump,
This pump is designed to be used with a larger tank as it will empty a small tank very quickly.
Depending on the flow setting and nozzle size used, a 100 Gallon tank would be empty in 14 minutes at 7 GPM..
While the pump is rated for 9 GPM, typical systems for house and roof cleaning run the system including the hose and trigger at full rinse flow of 7 GPM.
Typically most customers is run at perhaps 75% of full flow around 5 GPM for applying chemistry,
so when spraying chems 100ga tank will last perhaps 21 minutes until empty a 100 gallon tank..
