What is the best way of connecting up the Gardiner trigger for backpack?

I purchased the gardiner triger assembly for the backpack and I’m unsure of the best way to set it up? Any suggestions?

There should be a garden hose fitting at the end of the hose on the backpack. You should connect the hose from your waterfed pole directly to that fitting. The trigger will get spliced into the hose on your waterfed pole. You can cut the hose wherever you find it the most convenient. Generally closer to the handle of the pole so you can squeeze within reach/easy access.
