We do not have an exact answer for this because there are many variables. Its all dependant on your local water quality. Lets say you live in an area where the water at the tap is pretty clean, Georgia for example provides water at about 30ppm at the tap, residents there may find that this unit can last them 3-4 months. But lets say you live in Southern California where the local water is 350-400ppm, you may find the filter lasts a few days.
